OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in the Leeds area.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all the maintenance works across 3 sites. You will work on your own initiative, planning in PPM and responding to reactive maintenance work within a busy Machine Shop environment.

Role Description

• Working on your own and managing your workload
• undertaking PPM, fault finding and responding to any reactive maintenance across a busy machine shop
• Conducting maintenance work on CNC Machining centres which include, Kuraki, Mazak, TOS, Hitachi Seiki, Dugard and Mazak
• Priorities workload depending on the company demands
• You will be required to commission and decommission CNC Machinery
• You will take full responsibility for any work which you carry out
• You will need to manage your own time efficiently to ensure down time is limited
• Planning any machine moves which may take place throughout the machine shop floor
• Order parts which you may need in order to complete any maintenance work
• Complete full condition appraisals on CNC machinery
• Comply with Health and Safety policies

Skills & Attributes

• Previous maintenance experience working on various CNC machinery including vertical borers, horizontal borers, turning and milling machines
• Previous experience working within the Oil and Gas industry would be advantageous
• Experience working on different machining centres including, Kuraki, Mazak, Hitachi, Dugard would be an advantage
• Time served – NVQ and / or degree qualified
• Previous experience commissioning and decommissioning machinery
• Electrical knowledge
