Our client, a specialist design consultancy, are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in Leeds. This role has been created due to growth within the business which has made room for a new member of the team. The successful candidate will be required to provide design support on a range of Mechanical projects across a number of industries including Oil and Gas and Nuclear . Successful candidates must be proficient in the use of Inventor/ Solidworks and MathCAD with demonstrable experience in 3D Modelling. Ideally candidates will be degree qualified with demonstrable industry experience.

Role Description

• Conduct mechanical calculations using MathCAD
• Produce design specifications and documentation to ISO 9001.
• Carry out design works on standard products alongside New Product Development.

Qualifications & Skills
• Degree Qualified in an Mechanical/Design Discipline
• Previous experience with Inventor/ Solidworks

• Previous experience with MathCAD
• Able to create design in both 2D and 3D
• Good practical and theoretical understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
• Open Minded attitude.
• Innovative thinker but with the ability to prioritise.
