Overview

We are currently recruiting for a number of Plumbers on behalf of one of the UK’s largest plumbing and drainage providers.

Established over 60 years, they are part of the British Gas family of companies. They have over a thousand members of staff working for them across the UK.

We are looking for qualified plumbers to carry out a range of services associated with plumbing, investigate, diagnose and repair domestic premises. You will be carrying out all types of plumbing work, including reactive maintenance, installing cylinders, cold water storage tanks and general maintenance.

These are permanent positions based in Essex. It is working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, paying £35k per annum. Perks include van & fuel card, bonus scheme, commission pay, overtime, pension, training & development opportunities, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increases after 2 years) etc.

There is a call out rota which is 1 day during the week and 1 in 5 weekends. Retainers are £25 for a day in the week and £50 a day for the weekend. £30 per completed job.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all types of plumbing work, including reactive maintenance, installing cylinders, cold water storage tanks and general maintenance.
• To deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in accordance with H&S and quality procedures
• To accurately record work details via internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Take part in the on-call rota.

Skills & Qualifications

• Level 2 or Higher qualification in Plumbing.
• Previous experience working on domestic sites.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
