OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of specific electrical equipment into the Power & Rail Industries throughout the UK. Increased demand has created a new opportunity for a Project Administrator. This will involve overseeing and performing a variety of administrative tasks across the business. Including calling contractors and clients, making appointments, ordering, and chasing key supplies, managing drawing registers, booking out drawings, carrying out general production projects admin functions.

 

Key Tasks:

The responsibilities of the Project Administrator include:

  • Answering telephone calls, receiving visitors, communicating messages.
  • Co-ordinating meetings as requested.
  • Taking project minutes and distributing accordingly.
  • Support engineering team with job packs.
  • Support project team with quality control process “documentation control general – Booking drawings in/out and keeping drawings registers Live”.
  • Carry out Drawing documentation handover information.
  • Support team with timesheet & control; and allocation of hours against works orders.
  • Performing administration duties “general”.
  • Support the department with IT and stock control. Cover holidays and absences where necessary.
  • To implement all Company policies and procedures – in particular, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Policy and procedures and also Human Resources.
  • Support the Department marketing/social media. This includes sourcing suitable project pictures & gathering case studies from the delivery teams.

 

The Person

  • The successful candidate should possess;
  • Strong administrative skills and experience
  • Excellent IT capabilities, MS project would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Confident with excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Must be local to the offices, commutable within a 30 minute drive
