OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading M&E, Construction and Fit-out Contractor.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the Mechanical and Electrical aspects of a project from a commercial stance whilst contributing to the growth and overall development of the commercial team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate cost management programs and project costings
  • Manage Mechanical and Electrical elements form a commercial perspective
  • Mentor junior members of the commercial team
  • Managing and negotiating sub contract packages
  • Produce monthly commercial reports
  • Ensure projects are completed to set budgets and meet the commercial targets of the company.

 

Qualification and Experience

  • Experience in an Quantity Surveyor capacity ideally working for a large main contractor or well established M&E Contractor
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Proven commercial acumen
  • Experience managing the commercial aspect of multiple projects
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effortlessly liaise with a range of professional individuals at varying degrees of seniority
