OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Account Manager on behalf of a well-known FM contractor.

They have over 50 members of staff working for them and multiple offices in the UK. They operate nationally for a blue-chip client base, with a highly skilled in-house workforce of mechanical, Gas, AC, electrical, BMS and plumbing engineers.

They have a large portfolio of clients including Aldi, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, Schools etc.

As the Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for generating New Sales and New Business Opportunities by Cold Calling by Phone, Face to Face and Networking. This will include developing a strong Pipeline of Quotations and Proposals to meet defined Sales Targets.

This is the chance for the right individual to be the ‘Sales Face’ of the Scottish office. We are looking for ambitious and committed people to help deliver first rate services to the clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate weekly new Business Opportunities by Cold Calling both on the Phone and Face to Face.
  • Generating your own appointments to sell company services to New Clients.
  • Increase the New Customer Base in and around Livingston.
  • Consistently meet and exceed Sales Targets.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing Pipeline of New Business.
  • Accurately forecast Monthly Sales Pipeline.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of Facilities Management, Statutory Compliance, the Market, and their competitors within them.
  • Working closely with Contract Managers.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in cold calling new B2B Customers both on the Phone and Face to Face is essential.
  • Experience/working knowledge within Facilities Maintenance or Building Services would be beneficial but not compulsory.
  • Experience of selling a Service or Solution into Facilities, Estates, Schools, the Public Sector or directly to Property Managers or Estate Managers would be a distinct advantage.
  • Self-Motivated and Self-Driven to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to source New Business data leads from a multitude of resources and build your own database of potential customers.
  • A successful and consistent track record of Solution-Based Sales with proven experience of Closing New Business.
  • A strong understanding of the Sales Process and Closing Techniques.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills.
  • Must be highly organised, sales focused and knowledgeable.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills – ability to understand the needs of customers and deliver the correct sales proposal to them.
  • Ability to build, and maintain effective working relationships with both your Customers and the Contract Managers.
  • Computer literate with both MS Word and Excel.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
