Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager on behalf of an established Mechanical and Electrical contractor who specialise in Commercial Installation projects throughout the Uk.

Primarily operating within the Retail sector they are proud of being able to offer their customers an end to end service and project management of the entire project from initial stages through to completion.

The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for a number of high value and complex Retail projects.

Role Description

• Organisation and contract management of M&E projects within a commercial environment.
• Lead and motivate the contract and project management team
• Securing and quoting contracts
• Point of contact for the bid providers, site managers, and building contractors throughout the duration of the project
• Planning and estimating workload as well as providing quotes and timescales
• Managing workforce and labour
• Providing weekly reports for meetings with Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Main Contractors
• Ensuring project is progressing in a timely manner and working towards the given deadlines
• Carry out any amendments or variations to existing projects / contracts
• Control project expenditure to maximize profitability and productivity
• Review technical drawings and specifications
• Maintaining regular contact with clients to keep them updated

Skills & Attributes

• Mechanical Or Electrical qualifications – Electrical preferred.
• Experienced Contract Manager OR Senior Project Manager with a preferred bias to Electrical installation, construction and site management.
• Proven track record in managing high value complex projects. Previous experience of working within a retail environment is desirable.
• Clear focus on health & safety, with a proven track record in the management and implementation of health & safety across a diverse multi skilled team including 3rd parties such as on-site contractors
• CSCS or equivalent
• APM, Project Management training is essential
• Competent in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
• Knowledge/Understanding of a wide range of Electrical/Mechanical installations.
