Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a company who specialise in the design, build, installation and operation of district heating and energy networks throughout the Uk.

The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the commissioning, service and repair of Heat Interface Units (HIUs) from both a mechanical and electrical perspective.

Role Description

• Working on low pressure/low temperature (up to 80˚C) installations in client properties
• To service and repair HIU installations
• Commissioning of HIUs
• Carry out repairs pipework and work on associated fixtures and fitting
• Replace meters within the HIU
• Carry out minor electrical repairs within the confines of the HIU
• Attend callouts when required
• Work with asset management system to update completed jobs and work in progress.
• Work on weekend on-call rota (usually 1 weekend in 4/5)

Skills & Attributes

• NVQ level 2/3 in plumbing and heating.
• Previous experience in the breakdown, repair and maintenance of HIUs.
• Unvented Hot Water certificate is desirable.
• Part P Electrical qualification would be preferred but not essential.
• First aid trained would be desirable.
• Excellent time-keeping and punctuality is essential.
• Clear Driving licence
