Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of one of the South West’s leading Facilities Maintenance providers.

Established almost 15 years, they have a large portfolio of clients and do a lot of work on schools, hotels, offices, factories and building merchants.

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be working within a team of engineers including mechanical, electrical and plumbers. You will be responsible for covering planned and reactive maintenance on commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of commercial and heating systems.
• Response service, fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Reactive and minor repair works.
• Maintenance and upkeep of Plant Rooms and associated equipment.
• Install new plant equipment when required.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
