Overview

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a well-know and successful Building Services and HVAC contractor.

Established over 15 years, they have over 50 members of staff working for them. They work in a range of sectors including healthcare, leisure, commercial, retail, education, transport and industrial.

They a large portfolio of clients including Aldi, Tesco, Coop, Sainsbury’s, NHS, Barclays, MOJ, Various Universities, BBC, Hugo Boss, Manchester Airport etc.

As the AC Engineer, you will be involved with installations, routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial and retail sector.

Responsibilities

• Installation of new Single, Twin & Multi Splits and VRV / VRF’s systems (2 & 3 pipe systems)
• Adapting existing systems / system repairs.
• De-commissioning and strip-out of aged systems.
• Knowledge of setting up Central Controllers and Commissioning.
• Regular Service visits.
• Fault diagnosing / troubleshooting.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of ductwork installation would be desirable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
