Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Building Services Engineer on behalf of an established Building Services and Sustainable Design consultancy based in Leeds.

The Electrical Building Services Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the detailed design of all aspects of Electrical building Services across a range of projects including Leisure, Residential, Education and Commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

·         Undertaking design calculations (knowledge of AutoCAD, Amtech).

·         Developing design proposals at sketch, detail design and production stages.

·         Carrying out surveys, reports, designs, drawings and supervising others to carry out design and drawing work.

·         Liaison with clients and other members of the design team, suppliers and contractors as necessary

·         Carry out electrical design work including specification for the various stages of a project from inception to completion.

·         To ensure that customer requirements are identified and agreed with the client.

·         To ensure the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer.

·         Be an integral part of future developments including BIM implementation, Passivhaus design, Post Occupancy Evaluations, and LEAN design.

Skills and Attributes

·         Hold a relevant Engineering/Scientific degree.

·         Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Amtech (or similar).

·         Revit experience is preferred but not essential.

·         Familiarity and experience of working on projects across a range of sectors including Residential, Leisure, Commercial, Education etc.

·         Confident in communicating at all levels including professionals and trades people.

·         Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills are important.
