Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Resident Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.

Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.

They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.

This will be based at a building in Swindon who are an international company who design and manufacture electronic equipment. The role will include carrying out PPM, and Reactive building fabric repairs and must have the ability to assist with minor Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works.

As the Resident Electrical Engineer, you will Carry out PPM, and Reactive Electrical repairs and servicing. All works undertaken in accordance with the health and safety at works act, company safety procedures and contract specifications.

Working Hours Monday – Friday 07:45 – 16:45.

Responsibilities

• PPM in adherence to IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition. All in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification.
• Respond to Reactive Works to include all Electrical, Mechanical and minor fabric issues.
• Adhere to the out of hours call out Rota (as required).
• Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
• Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
• Logbook auditing.
• Good customer interface skills.

Skills & Attributes

• Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification)
• Minimum of one trade qualification with bias on: Electrical Installations and Test & Inspection Requirements.
• Basic fabric maintenance skills.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems
