Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a global market leader in combustion management systems.

Established over 50 years, they are the largest distributor in Europe for Ray Burners. They offer installation, service and maintenance services to a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational and leisure. They carry out a lot of work on Universities, Hotels, NHS, Museums, Car Showrooms, Food Manufacturing sites etc.

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will join the service and support team, working with a team of 15 engineers serving a customer base of currently 500 customers. Servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial heating systems, including industrial steam plant.

This is a permanent position, covering London, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The salary is paying £50k per annum. The call out rota is 1 in 6.

Responsibilities                                                                                                                  

• Service/PPM/Breakdown support of Customers heating appliances.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Installation of manufactured company equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures while working on-site.
• Job reporting and paperwork management.
• Provide technical assistance and training to customers.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and customer support staff.
• Provide remote technical assistance to customers when necessary.
• Take part in an on-call rota and attend callouts (1 week in 6)

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Preferred experience on steam boilers and water level controls.
• Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
• Basic electrical skills would be beneficial.
• Competent in pipework installation, steel, copper, plastic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
