OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Account Manager on behalf of a national provider of maintenance and repair services for fuel dispensing equipment and other petrol forecourt equipment.

The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for managing current customer accounts and developing new sales & accounts within the region in order to meet defined business targets and objectives.

 

Role Description

  • Understand the petroleum equipment market place and what factors influence our business
  • Ability to focus on job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Building relationships with existing/new customer accounts
  • Develop sales strategy to drive market penetration within the Independent Sector
  • Develop new territory accounts
  • Understand commercial health of prospective customers
  • Preparation of sales proposals
  • Preparation of sales revenue plan in conjunction with Head of Business Development
  • Preparing and submitting requested reports, documentation, and any other “paper work”. (e.g. weekly sales reports, expense reports, area or account business plans)
  • Achieve sales targets for regional territory
  • Understand the petroleum equipment market place and what factors influence our business
  • Understand emerging technologies both within the petroleum industry

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Petroleum retail industry experience/knowledge in the following areas with a proven track record of high quality sales/account management would be preferred: Dispensers, Systems, Service offerings, Installation Services
  • Proven experience in business development including current accounts and new business.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong contribution to business objectives
  • Ability to communicate through all levels of an organisation
  • Strong organisational/time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Public speaking/presentation skills
  • Able to assume leadership position
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • The ability to ‘get inside a customer’s head’ to understand their requirements and decision-making process.
