OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION
Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Generator Field Service Engineer on behalf of a national provider of generator maintenance and installation solutions.
As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing a range of diesel generators at either customer premises or based in the workshop.
Role Description
- Carry out minor and major services to diesel engine generator sets at customer sites.
- Visit customer sites and perform diesel generator installations.
- Carry out site surveys in order to assist in project design and proposals.
- Perform commissioning at customer sites in liaison with electrical contractors.
- Be a part of the call out rota for customer breakdowns.
- Control system wiring.
- Ad hoc tasks within the workshop.
- Attend relevant product training courses.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Generator Field Service Engineer.
- Ideally strong knowledge of diesel generators such as Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson, John Deere, Scania etc.
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 17th addition would be beneficial.
- Ideally a CSCS card holder.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to use own initiative aswell as part of a team.
