Overview

In the new year we will potentially be looking for a number of Generator Field Service Engineers across the UK for various diesel generator maintenance and installation companies.

We are ideally looking for candidates who have good experience in maintaining and servicing a various range of diesel generator engineers. Previous experience working on generators such as Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson and John Deere would be advantageous.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing a range of diesel generators at either customer premises or based in the workshop.

Role Description

• Carry out minor and major services to diesel engine generator sets at customer sites.
• Visit customer sites and perform diesel generator installations.
• Carry out site surveys in order to assist in project design and proposals.
• Perform commissioning at customer sites in liaison with electrical contractors.
• Be a part of the call out rota for customer breakdowns.
• Control system wiring.
• Ad hoc tasks within the workshop.
• Attend relevant product training courses.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Generator Field Service Engineer.
• Ideally strong knowledge of diesel generators such as Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson, John Deere, Scania etc.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 17th addition would be beneficial.
• Ideally a CSCS card holder.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to use own initiative aswell as part of a team.
