OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Due to continuous growth we are currently recruiting for a Field Servicer Engineer on behalf of an industry leader of material handling solutions.

Operating for over 50 years’, they have a staff force of over 100 employees and a number of service and handling centres.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a range of forklift trucks.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on Electric trucks and have good hydraulic or mechanical engineering skills.

The hours of work are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Overtime is also available.

Training will also be offered to the successful candidate.

 

Role Description

  • Repair and maintain a fleet of forklift trucks belonging to the company.
  • Travel round to customer sites and carry out anything from small repairs to full overhaul of components on their forklifts.
  • Ensure that fork lift trucks are serviced to manufacturer standards.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and customers to identify and source parts needed.
  • Keep clear and professional communication between customers at all times.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar course.
  • Previous experience carrying out maintenance on forklift trucks would be preferred.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.
