OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager on behalf of a national provider of maintenance and repair services for fuel dispensing equipment and other petrol forecourt equipment.

They are recognized as a UK industry leader who sell, install, and maintain a range of forecourt equipment including pumps, tank gauges and payment terminals.

With a team of over 70 engineers they are a fast-growing company who provide petrol forecourt maintenance and repair services to a wide chain of supermarkets across the UK.

As the Key Account Manager, you will report to the Head of Business Development and be responsible for managing new sales & accounts within a specific region whilst maintaining business objectives, targets and budgets as defined by the company.

 

Role Description

  • Understand the market place of petroleum equipment and what factors influence the business.
  • Ability to focus on job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Build relationships with new and existing customer accounts.
  • Develop sales strategy to drive market penetration within the Independent Sector.
  • Develop new territory accounts.
  • Understand commercial health of prospective customers.
  • Preparation of sales proposals.
  • Preparation of sales revenue plan in conjunction with Head of Business Development.
  • Preparing and submitting requested reports, documentation, and any other “paper work”.
  • Achieve sales targets for regional territory.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well, assertive.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with good commercial sense.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong contribution to business objectives.
  • Ability to communicate through all levels of an organisation.
  • Self-starter with excellent administrative and organisation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Public speaking/presentation skills.
  • Able to assume leadership position.
  • Sales experience within the Retail Petroleum Industry would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
