Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer to join the service and maintenance division of a specialist company within the Building Services Engineering industry.

Incorporated over 80 years, they are a family owned business which now currently employ over 200 employees. Most of the work carried out is based in the North West and is on a range of buildings such as schools, colleges, offices, care homes, leisure centres, industrial units, fire stations, community centres, churches, car showrooms etc.

As the AC Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance works that can include servicing, reactive breakdowns/repairs, and minor installs of Air Conditioning Systems/equipment.

This is a permanent position, covering the North West, paying £38k – £42k per annum. Weekly pay. Private use of van is allowed. Overtime and weekend work available. Pension. 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Training. PDA + Mobile. Uniform + PPE. You will receive travel pay after 30 minutes each way.

Responsibilities

• Response service fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Planned preventative maintenance works.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure excellent service delivery and reporting concerns to your Line Manager / Service Desk immediately.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer, specialising in both split type and VRV/VRF systems.
• F-Gas certification as a minimum.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with clients, colleagues, and management.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
