Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Installer on behalf of a well-established building services company.

Established over 35 years, they specialise in the design, installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC systems. They have a team of over 50 staff members, including 35 engineers.

They work in a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Education and Healthcare. They have excellent clients including 2 local authority frameworks.

The average length of service between the current team is over 10 years. They like to promote from within and provide excellent training opportunities. It is a great time to join this growing business. They normally sub-contract out the AC work but they are now brining this in-house and you would be joining them at the beginning of the journey.

Our ideal candidate will have good experience and knowledge of VRV/VRFs, alongside standard split systems.

This position will mainly be covering Dorset, around Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth, etc. They work a standard 45 hour working week, plus travel time. Private use of the van is allowed. There is also no call out rota.

Responsibilities

• Discussing requirements with customers.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Installation of new Single, Twin & Multi Splits and VRV / VRF’s systems (2 & 3 pipe systems)
• Able to complete company documents such as job cards, time sheets and reports.
• Good customer service skills, well presented with the ability to build a rapport with clients.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience installing air conditioning systems.
• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
