Due to continued growth this long established leading Building Services Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Associate Electrical Building Services Engineer. Operating in 4 major market sectors; leisure, commercial, education and residential/mixed use developments. Projects vary from £4million to £200million in terms of construction value. The Consultancy has won national and international awards for some of its design work and has established itself as a leader in low carbon and renewable technologies and low energy buildings.

Job Description

As the Associate Engineer you will be required to manage projects teams predominantly in the UK from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover.  The design work varies from developing concept designs to Stage 3 for planning purposes to fully detailed design, contract and construction drawings. There will be opportunities to develop within the Company as the Company grows. The Company places a large emphasis on providing a high level of service and meeting Client requirements.

Skills that will be required but are not limited to the following:

• An excellent understanding of the design process
• Strong man-management and project management skills
• Part L Compliance checking
• Detail development of concept designs to include equipment selection and specification etc
• Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors
• Site inspections

Qualifications and experience

• Chartered engineering status.
• Degree or alternative qualification in electrical (building services) engineering
• Team Leadership expertise
• Experience in the use of NES software (preferential but not essential)
• Experience in the use of Dialux or Relux lighting design software (preferential but not essential)
• Experience in the use of Amtech design software (preferential but not essential)
