The Opportunity:
This leading international Engineering Consultancy is a specialist service company dedicated to all technical engineering aspects of operating buildings to ensure clients enjoy the whole life benefits inherent in their design. Continued expansion and sustained growth has created a new opportunity for an experienced BREEAM Assessor to work on the following schemes:
- Non-Domestic Refurbishment and Fit-Out 2016
- Other Buildings including Data Centres
The Position:
- Overall responsibility for delivering BREEAM Assessments, liaising with clients and managing design teams
- Representing the company in client meetings
- Liaising with Design and Construction teams
- Ability to work independently, whilst maintaining a good team spirit
- Deliver BREEAM assessments from pre-assessment to final certification
- Ability to deal with contractor and site team queries
- Willing to travel to various locations and to undertake BREEAM site inspections during the construction phase
- Project management and setting deadlines for specific projects
The Person:
You will need to possess the following professional and technical expertise:
- Several years’ BREEAM experience
- Ideally a working knowledge of Tracker Plus and/or IES Tap
- Educated to degree level (BSc) or equivalent
- Preparation of high-quality written reports
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Home Quality Mark Code for sustainable Homes would be an advantage
- Organised self-starter
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage 10 to 15 projects at different stages
- Excellent attention to detail and high standard of written English
- Understanding of building services terms and technologies
- Willingness to undergo further training on sustainability standards, e.g. LEED/WELL as required, in your own time
