Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a well-known FM contractor.

They have over 50 members of staff working for them and multiple offices in the UK.

They a large portfolio of clients including Aldi, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, Schools etc.

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will join the service and maintenance team working on commercial sites in the North East. The role will require you to service and repair all types of heating equipment, including but not limited to gas fired unit heaters, air handling units and gas fired boilers.

Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. They also have a bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of commercial and heating systems.
• Response service, fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Reactive and minor repair works.
• Maintenance and upkeep of Plant Rooms and associated equipment.
• Install new plant equipment when required.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
