Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading Facilities Management Companies.

They have thousands of staff working for them across multiple offices in the UK.

They work in a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Education, Government, Health and more.

The Heating/Gas Engineer will act as a key focal point for client and technical interactions on site and be involved in both tactical planning and day-to-day operational delivery of the contracted services covering PPM’s, Reactive works and Extra Works remaining accountable for the delivery and management of SLA’s on ALL site based heating requirements, as well as Health and Safety at all times.

This is a static position based on site. Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm. Friday, 7am – 1pm.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of commercial and heating systems.
• Response service, fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Liaise with All Sub Contractor, e.g. Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanical, and other Trades as required on individual projects Maintenance and upkeep of Plant Rooms and associated equipment.
• Install new plant equipment when required.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
