Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a successful plumbing & heating contractor.

Established over 10 years, they work in a range of sectors including commercial, retail, leisure, transport, public sector etc. They carry out work for clients such as Tesco, Asda, Scottish Government, Mercure Hotels and many more,

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will join the service and maintenance team working on commercial sites. The role will require you to service and repair all types of heating equipment, including but not limited to gas fired unit heaters, air handling units and gas fired boilers.

The company are willing to pay the going rate and above for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of commercial and heating systems.
• Response service, fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Reactive and minor repair works.
• Maintenance and upkeep of Plant Rooms and associated equipment.
• Install new plant equipment when required.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
