Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a reputable Building Services contractor based in Rochester.

Established almost 25 years, they design, install, commission and maintain gas/oil heating systems, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, power and lighting systems, HVAC system control panels and systems.

The Commercial Gas Engineer will join the installation team. You will be working on a range of sites including schools, M.O.D and N.H.S.

This is a permanent position, covering Kent, paying £45k per annum. You will receive a van & fuel card, pension (8%), overtime and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This increases by 1 day per year plus your birthday off. Overtime is paid at premium rates. On average engineers are currently earning 20% on top of their salary with travel time and overtime.

There is no call-out rota. Expected to be on site at 7:45am and leave site at 4:15pm. You will receive travel time after the first half-hour to and from site. Other benefits include free will writing service, private health cover and life insurance.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating systems and carrying out installation work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
