Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial & Industrial Gas Engineer on behalf of a leading commercial and industrial gas company who specialise in the food process industry.

Established over 30 years, they pay particular emphasis to the food process industry with their mobile service engineers dedicating themselves to providing quality and flexibility to suit all their customer’s needs. Their engineers mainly work in factories, offices and warehouses for their clients across the nation.

Reporting to the Service manager you will play a crucial role in joining their skilled mobile engineering team. You will be highly motivated, ambitious and capable of working on your own or as part of a team.

We are looking for a well-organised individual who has good communication skills and an adaptable work style. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on commercial gas boilers and will need to be flexible to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, fault finding, repairs and installing various types of gas burners, gas pipe work and associated gas equipment / controls.
• Planned preventative maintenance works.
• Complete written reports to ensure trace-ability.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.
• Must be prepared to travel as their client base is nationwide.
• Be a part of the call out rota.

Skills & Attributes

• Commercial Gas Qualifications are essential.
• Formal electrical training would be beneficial, however not essential.
• Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Good customer service skills.
• Well organised and able to work on own initiative.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Prepared to work flexible hours and work away occasionally.
