Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Pipefitter on behalf of a HVAC contractor who specialise in the Design, Installation and Maintenance of heating and air-conditioning systems on behalf of Commercial, Industrial and Domestic clients.

The Commercial Pipefitter will be working at commercial sites in and the West Midlands with works ranging from basic plumbing to commercial boiler house installations. The ideal Pipefitter must have experience of working on cutting and bending pipework, installation of Copper and Black Iron, installation of hot water supplies, pipework for large commercial boilers, air handling units, heat exchangers, and undertaking reactive maintenance from time to time in commercial properties

Responsibilities

• Cutting and bending pipework, installation of Copper and Black Iron.
• Installation of hot water supplies, pipework for large commercial boilers, air handling units and heat exchangers.
• Undertaking reactive maintenance from time to time in commercial properties as required.
• Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor.
• Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using relevant tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials.

Skills & Attributes

• Valid JIB/CSCS Card
• Previous demonstrable experience working as a Pipefitter on Commercial and Industrial projects.
• MEWP and PASMA is an advantage but not essential.
• Keen attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety.
• General knowledge of plumbing and pipe system layout, according to specifications
