OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Company

A fantastic new opportunity has been created due to increased work flow for an experienced Control Systems Engineer with specific experience in machinery safety applications. The role will involve assisting with the in-house specification and design of safety related control systems.

 

The Position

As the Control Systems Engineer you will be based out of both the workshop and office. You will also be required to travel and work away for periods of time, primarily within the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Design and specification of safety related control system upgrades for machinery in accordance with PUWER & EN/BS Standards.
  • Testing and QC of control panels.
  • Site installation work, commissioning and functional testing.
  • Technical support for customers.
  • Contribute to team efforts and project success.
  • Software programming and functional safety validation in line with ISO13849-1; IEC61508 and IEC62061 subject to qualifications held.

 

The Person

  • Recognised qualifications in electrical engineering
  • Controls knowledge, LV electrical circuit and panel design
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Fluent in AutoCAD/SEE Electrical,
  • Sistema/Pascal (desirable)
  • Qualified Functional Safety Engineer (FS Eng) (desirable)
