Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer on behalf of the capitals leading maintenance service companies providing plumbing, heating, drainage, and other various services to both domestic & commercial clients.

With their fleet of service vehicles, fully qualified engineers, and dedicated office team they offer a genuine 24-hour 7-day service covering all their customer’s maintenance issues and requirements.

You will be expected to deliver a high standard of work with excellent customer services using your technical expertise whilst ensuring your work vehicle, uniform, and equipment are all kept clean, tidy, and to a very high standard. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and a can-do attitude.

In this role you can also earn bonus based on performance. The company will also provide training and progression opportunities.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm. Call out Rota currently is one evening per week and one weekend (Friday night, all day Saturday & Sunday) in 5.

Over time is paid at 1.5 from 6pm until 10pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday.

10pm until 8am Monday to Friday and all day Sunday is double time.

Responsibilities

• Attending emergency & reactive callouts
• Carrying out high-pressure water jetting using the latest modern equipment
• The use of core cleaning & electro-mechanical equipment
• The use of Picote de-scaling equipment
• Completing CCTV surveys including WinCan software
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
• Confined space entry
• Drain excavation & repair
• Drain re-lining
• Stack de-scaling
• Assisting vacuum tanker services
• Root cutting
• Communicating effectively with clients and reporting to the Helpdesk Manager & team daily
• Weekly callout rota and overtime will apply

Skills & Attributes

• At least 5 years’ experience in the industry
• Great time keeping & punctuality is a necessity
• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• HGV Licence is preferred but not essential
• A valid CSCS card is essential
• Experience in completing CCTV surveys
• Essential plumbing skills (drainage-related)
• Demonstrate technical knowledge & competency with regards to all aspects of drainage
• Being a team player is essential
