OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer on behalf of family run facilities management company based in Kent.

Based in Gravesend, they have been established over 10 years and offer a range of services including electrical, plumbing, heating, drainage, combustion and property & build. They currently have a team of 16 engineers.

Their client portfolio includes public sector organisations, educational sites, office management companies, food chains and also housing associations.

This is a permanent position working on sites throughout London and surrounding areas. This will be working Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. You will also be equipped with a van, fuel card, uniform, phone and tablet. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half. You will also receive pension, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and training.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attending emergency & reactive callouts
  • Carrying out high-pressure water jetting using the latest modern equipment
  • The use of core cleaning & electro-mechanical equipment
  • The use of Picote de-scaling equipment
  • Completing CCTV surveys including WinCan software
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
  • Confined space entry
  • Drain excavation & repair
  • Drain re-lining
  • Stack de-scaling
  • Assisting vacuum tanker services
  • Root cutting
  • Communicating effectively with clients and reporting to the Helpdesk Manager & team daily
  • Weekly callout rota and overtime will apply

 

Skills & Attributes

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the industry
  • Great time keeping & punctuality is a necessity
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • HGV Licence is preferred but not essential
  • A valid CSCS card is essential
  • Experience in completing CCTV surveys
  • Essential plumbing skills (drainage-related)
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge & competency with regards to all aspects of drainage
  • Being a team player is essential
