OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Drainage Operations Supervisor on behalf of the capitals leading maintenance service companies providing plumbing, heating, drainage, and other various services to both domestic & commercial clients.

With their fleet of service vehicles, fully qualified engineers, and dedicated office team they offer a genuine 24-hour 7-day service covering all their customer’s maintenance issues and requirements.

This job would be ideal for someone with a great deal of experience in drainage with past experience spent on the tools as well as having managerial experience with the drive to progress within our company. As one of the supervisors you will be expected to deliver a high standard of work, deliver excellent customer service & be punctual with a can-do attitude!

In this role you can also earn bonus based on performance. The company will also provide training and progression opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of drainage engineers who are road-based
  • Monitoring mailboxes
  • Ordering of materials and placing of orders with suppliers
  • Raising urgent quotations and estimates
  • Attending various sites and supervising works being carried out
  • Logging and following up of Emergency call out orders
  • Ensuring all the jobs from evenings and weekends are updated and dealt with
  • Answering high volume inbound calls and assisting customers with specific inquiries and job bookings
  • Uploading jobs onto our live job logging work system
  • Update worksheets with changes and statuses of each customer’s job
  • Working closely with the CCTV survey division
  • Dealing with out of hours calls via our helpdesk on a rota
  • Managing client portals
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
  • Providing clients with updates on progression of works
  • Providing business support to all areas when required
  • Arranging parking at the request of engineers
  • Working to tight timescales as part of a high-performing team
  • Liaise with engineers to book follow on jobs for customers

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Hold level 2 Plumbing NVQ or higher (not required but preferred) and/or water jetting qualifications
  • At least 15 years’ experience in all aspects of drainage both commercial & domestic.
  • Hold a full UK Driving licence
  • A very strong knowledge of drainage spares & equipment as well as drainage systems and working methods
  • A willingness to accept and offer out-of-hours duties like taking telephone calls & emails
  • At times attending jobs to supervise and when required carrying out certain jobs as and when necessary
  • Able to prioritise workloads, multitasking is a must as we are a fast-paced reactive maintenance company
  • Excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines and be able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills – able to deal with customers on all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs excel, outlook, word
  • The ability to pick up new processes and retain process information
  • Ability to ‘be part of a team and carry out a variety of tasks
  • The ability to work on own as well as taking direction from others but most importantly to manage their time effectively
