Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a market leader of Machine Safety Engineering.

The company provide the full Design, Installation and Commissioning service to a range of sectors including heavy engineering, paper & board, automotive, food & drink and process.

Clients include the likes of Automated packaging systems, BAE systems, Britvic Soft Drinks, Caterpillar, Nestle, Siemens, Tata Steel, Weir Group and many more.

The ideal candidate will have a control systems background and be responsible for the build of safety related control panels and also onsite installation of panels and safety devices onto machinery at clients premises nationwide. The role will involve both workshop/office based elements as well as travelling and working away for periods of time, primarily within the UK. The role could also include control panel design, electrical drafting, software programming and safety certification in line with ISO13849-1; IEC61508 and IEC62061 subject to qualifications held.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working 37.5 hours a week. Mon – Thurs 8am – 4pm, and an early finish on Friday. Benefits include company vehicle + overtime + laptop + phone + 7% employer contribution pension scheme + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays etc.

Responsibilities

• Build of control panels in accordance with CAD drawings.
• Testing and QC of control panels.
• Site installation work, commissioning and functional testing.
• Technical support for customers.
• Contribute to team efforts and project success.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications in electrical engineering
• Controls knowledge, LV electrical circuit and panel design
• Strong written and verbal communication
• AutoCAD, Sistema (desirable)
• FS Eng (desirable)
