Overview

We are currently recruiting for Industrial and Commercial Electrician’s/Approved Electrician’s on behalf of a family-run Electrical & Mechanical service provider.

Established over 40 years, they have 4 divisions within the business. These divisions are Electrical Services, Mechanical Services, FM Services and HV Services.

They work in a range of sectors but primarily on commercial and industrial projects.

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Ideally, we are looking for candidates based in Central Scotland; however the company work anywhere in Scotland so as long as you are happy to travel that should be fine.

You will be paid SJIB rates. Electricians are paid £16.73 per hour. Approved Electricians are paid £18.14 per hour. There is also a 7% increase in January. You will also receive access to a van & fuel card, overtime, pension, BUPA cover etc.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work on various commercial and industrial installation projects.
• Work to tight time schedules and deadlines making sure all are met to the highest standard.
• Work closely with specialist sub-contractors.
• Working to Health & Safety Practice.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• 18^th Edition qualification.
• ECS Card.
• Experience working within FM or the M&E industry.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
