OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager on behalf of an exciting Office Hire Management company.

They have 6 sites across London which are located in Aldgate East, Shoreditch, Borough Market, Finsbury Park, London Bridge and Soho. They also have another 3 buildings in Bristol and Brighton. They provide unique office space for teams of 1 – 100 to work in.

As a member of the Central Operations team, you play a key role in the maintenance and safety for all of the locations. You’ll be responsible for efficient operations, focusing on designing, documenting, implementing and executing scalable processes. You’ll ensure the seamless day-to-day running of the sites, resolving issues promptly and maintaining operational excellence.

London will be the primary location as 6 out of the 9 office spaces are here. On a week when you aren’t travelling about, it’ll be hybrid (3 days minimum in the office),

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance– ensuring all of the buildings are compliant including, but not limited to, fire safety and general health and safety requirements.
  • Maintenance– Ensuring the maintenance and management of the internal appliances, including coffee machines, hot taps, kitchen equipment, as well as the PPM and repair for core building services including the lifts, toilets, general building fabric etc.)
  • External partners – Management of 3rd Party Cleaning Services & Waste Management, as well as 3rd party service charges.
  • Security– Overall responsibility for the security of the locations including access control and CCTV.
  • Procurement– Management of procurement and supplier performance management, reviewing existing processes and implementing enhancements.
  • Budgets – Able to set and manage budgets.

  • Action orientated – you have a proactive day-to-day approach, taking initiative in implementing preventive maintenance measures, as well as experience managing contractors, and working with planned maintenance programmes.
  • Commercial– you have a commercially minded approach to facilities management, managing budgets, developing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring you’re maintaining a cost-effective approach to your work.
