OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Due to growth of the business we are currently looking for a Field Service Vacuum Engineer to join a Bristol based company who specialise in the design, manufacture and maintenance of high vacuum systems and freezer dryers.

They have been established over 10 years, but have over 50 years combined experience in high vacuum and freeze drying technology.

They are a well-respected name within the industry who continuously work to high standards to satisfy their client’s needs. They provide their services to a wide range of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Nuclear & Decommissioning, Universities, Oil & Gas, Aerospace and defence.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site and in-house inspection, repair and service of vacuum pumps and related equipment.

We are looking for a well-organised individual who has good communication skills and an adaptable work style. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on vacuum pumps and related equipment.

This position is available for an immediate start.

 

Role Description

  • Day to day responsive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of vacuum pumps and related equipment.
  • Carry out on-site and in-house inspection and maintenance works.
  • Calibration of gages and other equipment.
  • Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
  • Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • ONC/HNC or relevant qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ideally high vacuum engineering experience.
  • Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
  • Flexible and willing to assist with production engineering when required.
  • Good communications skills and a proactive manner.
  • Have good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to work well individually or as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving License.
