OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our Client, a nationwide Facilities Management firm are looking to recruit a number of experienced Fire Alarm Engineers to join their existing team on a permanent basis to work through a growing order book with Commercial/ Retail clients in and around the Milton Keynes/ Peterborough/ Cambridge area . This role will require candidates to carry out all planned and re-active fire alarm works across the region. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable background within Fire Alarm Service and have completed FIA Units 1, 4 and 5. Experience in testing of emergency lighting would be highly advantageous. Excellent earning potential with realistic earnings upwards of £40k. A Company Vehicle, PDA and PPE and all required training is provided with this position.

Travel time paid, overtime paid at premium rates + Standby Pay

Role Description
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, re-active, and installation works, as instructed, in order to meet client completion deadlines.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with Integral QA procedures and specific Fire Alarm System QA procedures, meeting relevant British Standards and BAFE requirements.
• Comply with specific contract, work department and company procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate, clear and legible records of works, as required / instructed.
• Complete a weekly time sheet and submit in accordance with company procedures.
• Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue good communications with the customer, in order to build a stable relationship
• Be available for and participate within the out of hours call out rota.

Skills & Attributes

– Demonstrable experience in Fire Alarm Service
– Completed FIA Units 1,4 and 5
– Must have a proven track record of testing and inspection of commercial fixed wire installations (essential)
