OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity:

This leading international Engineering Consultancy is a specialist service company dedicated to all technical engineering aspects of operating buildings to ensure clients enjoy the whole life benefits inherent in their design. Continued expansion and sustained growth has created a new opportunity for a Graduate BREEAM Assessor. Recently qualified you will have experience of undertaking 2014 BREEAM assessments across a range of building types, and have a good understanding of the BRE audit process and requirements.

 

The Position:

  • Assisting with client liaison and Design teams including project managers and planning consultants during the pre-assessment stage
  • Assisting with Design and Construction team liaison
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision as required
  • Conduct BREEAM Assessments (once qualified) with support from BREEAM Manager
  • Assisting with contractor’s team and respond to site team queries
  • Willing to undertake site inspection and supervision
  • Issuing of reports, meeting minutes and action lists
  • Carry out independent reading and research to support BREEAM role
  • Assisting with BREEAM related bid and tender preparation and co-ordination
  • Flexibility to assist BREEAM Assessors in meeting business/project deadlines

 

Role Requirements

  • Working towards BREEAM qualification / Willing to become a BREEAM Assessor
  • Educated to degree level in engineering/ environment discipline
  • Preferably licensed in BREEAM 2014 New Construction
  • Experience delivering BREEAM assessments working with external stakeholders
  • An appreciation of the planning process and the construction process
  • General understanding of Building Services design and engineering terms
  • Working knowledge of BREEAM 2014 Non-domestic Refurbishment & Fit-out scheme and Code for Sustainable Homes
  • Submitting high quality written reports to BRE Quality Assurance
  • Flexibility – to meet tight deadlines and to travel to site meeting/inspections
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (essential) and Word/Outlook (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of other MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Use of Tracker Plus and other project information software such as 4Projects
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Accuracy/Excellent attention to detail
