Overview

Due to growth we are currently recruiting for a Heating Interface Units (HIU) Engineer on behalf of a leading provider of HIU Services.

The majority of the work will be within the M25 area working on occupied and void finished properties. The role will involve the servicing, repairing and replacement of HIU’s and heating controls.

Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, with 1 hour lunch break. It is paying up to £45k per annum for an experienced engineer. Perks include van & fuel card which can be used for private use, overtime, bonus, pension, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays etc.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be tasked with duties such as; repair, service and install HIUs, thermal stores and cylinders to communal dwelling systems, replacing thermostatic valves, pump, radiators and other associated equipment, repair of pipework and attend breakdowns.
• Responsible for ensuring all works are allocated and completed to time, cost and quality standards, managing your workload effectively.
• Responsible for the self-delivery of a commercial service that complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements in respect of directly employed operatives.
• Be prepared to work on various types of system i.e. reactive works, planned maintenance, installations, capital works
• Maintain effective OPIs and KPIs to ensure time, quality, cost and customer service standards are met.

Skills & Attributes

• Hold a relevant qualification in plumbing.
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on HIU’s.
• A good understanding of S plan & Y plan electrical systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
