OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Due to expansion we are currently recruiting for an Installations Engineer on behalf of a leading supplier of products and services to the UK petroleum industry. They specialise in the sales and service of fuel dispensers, forecourt equipment and wash systems.

Established over 100 years, they now have headquarters in 30 countries and employ over 3,500 members of staff worldwide.

Covering over 3000 sites across the UK, the company are part of a larger group who are well-recognised for their great work in the industry.

As the Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning a wide range of industrial bus, truck and car wash cleaning equipment. We are looking for someone based in the Midlands area and will cover sites nationwide.

We are looking for someone with a positive and pro-active approach who can work well within a team aswell as using their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and technical skills and will have knowledge of wash systems.

 

Role Description

  • Install and commission equipment on customers sites.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers.
  • Liaise with schedulers to ensure all works completed within set SLAs.
  • Ensure all company tools and equipment are maintained in a satisfactory and safe condition.
  • Control van stocks to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
  • Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience working on wash systems or related products.
  • A mechanical or electrical qualification would be beneficial.
  • Ability to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Knowledge of single and three phase equipment.
  • Previous experience in a field based service and maintenance role.
  • Good communications skills and a proactive manner.
  • Have good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to work well individually or as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving License.
