The Opportunity

Permanent or long term contract role working for this leading, well established Building Services Consultancy.  You will be working with the M&E design team, providing support, and assisting the senior design engineers, in producing Electrical Services Design throughout the full project lifecycle. Working on a variety of projects including Health, Educational, Residential, Commercial and many more.

The Position

• To implement company procedures policy.
• To undertake electrical design and assist the project manager with various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
• To assist and be part of the design team and provide electrical engineering support to all engineers, Senior and Junior.
• Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
• Carry out surveys and produce reports.
• Carry out quality inspections of projects.
• Use CAD systems in line with company’s procedures.
• Undertake duties as required by the Director of the group

The Person

The successful candidate should preferably be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and have experience in the following key areas

• Producing detailed specifications
• Productions of design calculations both manual and using software
• Production of manual drawing mark-ups
• Basic Autocad skills, experience of using AutoCAD / Revit would also be advantageous
• Assistance with the production of tender packages
• Producing tender analysis of returned tender packages
• Assisting budget costings for all aspects of services
• Carry out site surveys
• Production of condition reports
• Supporting Project Managers in overlooking Junior Staff
• Direct Client Liaison
