OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an M&E Project Manager on behalf of an established Mechanical and Electrical contractor who specialise in Commercial Installation projects throughout the Uk.

Primarily operating within the Retail sector they are proud of being able to offer their customers an end to end service and project management of the entire project from initial stages through to completion.

The M&E Project Manager will be responsible for the management of a varied portfolio of commercial projects from initial enquiry through to final accounts, ensuring all works completed meet client and company expectations and deadlines

Role Description

  • Organisation and project management of M&E projects within a commercial environment.
  • Ensure that all works are completed in line with the company Health and Safety policy/RAMS.
  • Produce monthly financial reports to both ongoing and completed projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly valuations of works carried out.
  • Ensure clarity of responsibility for the site team through briefings and daily communication.
  • Liaise with clients and customers at all levels in order to improve service delivery.
  • Lead and motivate the project management team
  • Direct, plan, motivate and monitor the project teams
  • Produce scopes of works document from given brief or drawings
  • Plan and agree scheme phasing details with the design team
  • Continually monitor supplier quotations against rates
  • Attend and manage on-site scheme phases
  • Attend scheme design team meetings as necessary
  • Perform site surveys
  • Ensure KPI monitoring is completed weekly

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous demonstrable experience of managing M&E Projects.
  • Experience of working on projects within the Retail sector is essential.
  • SMSTS Site Management qualification.
  • 17th Edition Electrical Qualifications.
  • Experience in a customer facing role, with a proven track record of building client relationships
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes.
