Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Plumber on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.

Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.

They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.

This is working on a hard FM contract which carries out service and maintenance work to train stations down the East Coast from Edinburgh to Kings Cross. It is a straightforward contract overseeing mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance and small works.

As the Plumber, you will Carry out PPM, and Reactive plumbing repairs and servicing. All works undertaken in accordance with the health and safety at works act, company safety procedures and contract specifications. You will be working at York and Leeds Train station.

Responsibilities

• Response service fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works.
• Planned preventative maintenance works.
• Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
• Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
• Logbook auditing.
• Good customer interface skills.
• Working Health & Safety Practice.

Skills & Attributes

• Have a relevant plumbing qualification.
• Basic fabric maintenance skills.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
