Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Plumber on behalf of a successful MEP service provider.

Established over 25 years, they cover all your Building Services and Engineering needs. They now have over 180 members of staff working for them.

They work in a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Health, Education, Retail, Leisure etc. Their clients include the likes of Rolls Royce, NHS, Premier Inn, Asda and numerous educational sites.

This is more of an installation position and will be working on a range of commercial buildings such as Schools, offices and hospitals.

This is a permanent position paying £30k – £45k per annum dependent on skill level. It is working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. There is a lot of overtime on offer. You will get access to a van & fuel card and will be paid door to door travel. Other perks include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, training, phone, team nights out etc.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work on various commercial contracts and in educational settings, offices and hospitals.
• Installation and upgrading work to respective heating, sanitation, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Work to tight time schedules and deadlines making sure all are met to the highest standard.
• Work closely with specialist sub-contractors.
• Working to Health & Safety Practice.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Have a relevant plumbing qualification.
• Experience working within FM or the building services industry.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
