Overview

We are currently recruiting for a number of Plumbers on behalf of a well-known plumbing & heating contractor based in Surrey. We are looking for Plumbers throughout London, Surrey and the South East.

Operating over 15 years, they now have a team of over 35 qualified plumbers. They are an approved contractor to British Gas and receive lots of work from them.

We are currently looking for a qualified plumber to carry out a range of services associated with plumbing, investigate, diagnose and repair domestic premises. You will be carrying out all types of plumbing work, including reactive maintenance, installing cylinders, cold water storage tanks and general maintenance. These are permanent positions working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Our package:

Starting salary of £30k going up to £31,800 upon successful completion of probation.

For highly experienced engineers. Or those of a much higher skill set, the starting salary is £33k going up to £34,800 upon successful completion of probation.

On call (rota’d) is £25 per completed job.

When on call over a weekend (rota’s, typically 1 in 6 and ideally 1 in 8) you receive a standby payment of £120.00. Plus £25 per completed job

When working a Saturday you get scheduled a day off in lieu the following week. Sundays are overtime.

We then pay a productivity bonus (paid monthly one month in arrears) that is based on the below

Monthly labour sales over £8000 – £300

An additional 5% of all labour sales over £8000

We also pay a Customer Service bonus. If their Net Promoter Score is 62 or higher for a Quarter they get a bonus of £300. Paid Quarterly one month in arrears.

Right First Time bonus (a stat we get compiled of successfully completing a job on the first visit) – if over 92% then £300 per Quarter, paid one month in arrears.

Pension, Holidays (20 days plus bank holidays), Perkbox, Death in Service Insurance are also part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all types of plumbing work, including reactive maintenance, installing cylinders, cold water storage tanks and general maintenance.
• To deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in accordance with H&S and quality procedures
• To accurately record work details via internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Have a positive can do attitude.

Skills & Qualifications

• Level 2 or Higher qualification in Plumbing.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• Full UK Driving License.
• A CRB disclosure and Financial Check will be requested in the event of a successful application.
