OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a successful HVAC Facilities company who specialise in commercial hvac systems and mechanical services.

With over 40 years’ experience, they work on a range of sites including schools, offices, hospitals, warehouses, pharmaceutical sites, gyms and many more.

As the Project Manager you would be responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of HVAC projects. You would ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, and that everyone else is doing their job properly. You would oversee the project to ensure that the customer’s expectation is achieved to their satisfaction, using the most efficient labour, plant, equipment and material resources.

Regarding projects they would be small to medium sized projects (£50,000.00 to £1,500,000.00) and looking after the full mechanical package, AC, Vent, & plumbing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of HVAC projects from the point we receive a customer order.
  • Set up a programme, list of labour materials and plant, and meetings schedule.
  • Plan and procure all labour, materials, plant and equipment, using IT systems.
  • Manage costs, and efficient use of labour resources.
  • Review Specification and drawings and communicate to all parties involved.
  • Oversee the installation phase, through to completion.
  • Monitor and manage Quality of Installations.
  • Oversee the handover process including O&M manuals.
  • Respond to customer post completion enquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Report on site set up, attend site meetings as required and report on the projects regularly.
  • Ensure that all activities adhere to company and client health and safety regulations. Implement and monitor safety protocols to minimize risks and create a safe working environment.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of HVAC project management.
  • Awareness of H&S and Contract law, Key financial data and Other Functions involved in the business.
  • Experienced leader with developed people management skills.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to analyse situations and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.
