OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Small Works and Aftercare Manager on behalf of an established Electrical Contractor based in the Leeds area.

Established over 25 years ago the company specialise in carrying out commercial and industrial projects from initial consultation and design phase through to installation, testing and final handover.

The role of the Small Works and Aftercare Manager will be to follow up projects after completion and carry out site visits and inspections in order to prepare quotations and discuss any remedial works required. This responsibilities within this role will also cover Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and management of apprentices joining the business.

Role Description

  • Carry out site visits and inspections on completed projects.
  • Prepare quotations for additional works up to £50k.
  • Preparation of job sheets and list of materials for the buying team.
  • Liaise with clients during works to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with site electricians and sub-contractors during work.
  • Carry out final inspection of works on site and draft NICEIC certificates.
  • Report and insurance claims immediately and liaise with all parties involved.
  • Review and update risk assessments and carry out health and safety audits.
  • Quality assurance including update and review of ISO-9001-2015
  • Oversee the enrolment of apprentices within the business including arranging interviews with candidates and monitoring progress throughout apprenticeship.

Skills & Attributes

  • Relevant Electrical qualifications (17th/18th edition preferred).
  • Ideally hold a Health and Safety qualification (SSSTS, SMSTS) but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial electrical installation projects.
  • Experience in quoting of small works up to £50k in value
  • Experience of quality assurance to ISO-9001.
  • Previous experience of onboarding and management of apprentices is preferred but not essential.
