OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Utility Surveyor on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and utility surveying consultancy. The company provide land surveying and engineering services for a wide range of projects throughout the Uk.

The Utility Surveyors will be responsible for carrying out site activities for underground utility surveys including GPR and Electromagnetic techniques. The role will require travel and occasional night shifts and work away from home. A full clean driving licence is essential.

 

Role Description

  • Complete core on site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency), GPR in Mark-out Mode, Radio Detection, electromagnetics, drainage surveys, topographical survey techniques and equipment and GPS location and positioning.
  • Leading and coordinating field teams on site
  • Reporting to client project managers with professionalism
  • Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Relevant surveying qualifications are preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working in the utility detecting and mapping industry, including previous management responsibilities as a team leader.
  • Advanced skills in the use of Electromagnetic and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment.
  • Excellent understanding of mapping sewer & drainage networks
  • Competent skills, or reasonable knowledge of surveying and post processing skills
  • A Full Clean diving licence is required.
