OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION
Having been awarded several new Power Station and Sub Station contracts this specialist contractor into the power & energy industry is recruiting for experienced Fibre Technicians.
Job Details
- Immediate Start
- Attending sites to determine installation routes for fibre optic lines.
- Carrying out area surveys
- Applicants must be IT competent
- Long term contract
- Permanent positions available
- Training provided
The Role will involve
- Install complete CCTV and Telecom systems from containment through to handing over, including all cabling, hardware installation, termination and commissioning, maintain and repair both in the UK and internationally in facilities.
- Maintain point of contact between project engineers and client, ensuring that all the equipment needed is supplied and all requirements for the installation are met
- Carry out fusion splicing of fibre optic cables for video and data transmission
- Co-ordinate sub-contract labour on long or short-term contacts
- Recording updates and drawing changes liaising with customer and Project engineer
