OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Trainee Panel Wirer based at their workshop in Gainsborough. They have been established for over 50 years and operate in a wide range of industries undertaking electrical, instrument, fibre optic and mechanical contracts from the initial design and engineering to the complete installation and final handover. Industry sectors include Rail, Power and Energy.

Responsibilities

  • To use correct wiring techniques, including the correct use of crimping tools and identification of wiring
  • To be competent in using the correct tools for the correct application
  • To work within a team in a workshop environment and be self-motivated
  • To work to continuing and consistent high standards
  • To work in a safe manner at all times having due regard for themselves and others
  • To comply with the organisations policies, procedures and company handbook
  • Any other duties within the purpose, spirit and scope of the post as may be required from time to time
  • To uphold the reputation of the company both within and external to the direct working environment

The Person

  • Ideally an apprentice trained electrician or from a trades background
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and conscientious

You will receive on-going training to become a fully qualified Panel Wirer within 6 months.
